    Launched in 1993, the top-performing Nickelodeon network comprises seven dedicated entertainment channels for kids aged 4-15 and their families: Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon HD, Nickelodeon +1, Nicktoons, Nick Jr., Nick Jr. +1 and Nick Jr. 2.


    Content is at the core of the business with critically-acclaimed and hugely-popular television programming from the UK and around the world merging with bespoke content online and a dedicated Nick app, as well as consumer product and recreation opportunities such as the UK’s first-ever Nick theme park, Nickelodeon Land



    Milkshake! is home to some of the world’s favourite pre-school characters. Channel 5 broadcasts 24 hours of children's programmes every week and 2017 was the strands best year ever amongst Kids 4-15 and 16-34 adults. Popular shows during the pre-school block include Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly, Shane The Chef, Floogals, Digby Dragon, Fireman Sam, Thomas and Friends, Nella the Princess Knight, Noddy: Toyland Detective and PAW Patrol


    Purpose Of The Role:


    Viewer Insight sits at the heart of the Viacom brands and understanding the core audience informs everything we do.  This role will manage the analytics, qualitative and quantitative research to meet the ongoing needs of the Kids Channels across VIMN.  It will work closely with the Senior Management team, Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, PR, On Air, Consumer Products and other Brand Insight teams to ensure the business is delivering the best possible product


    Key Accountabilities:


    • To provide a full audience insight service for all Kids brands, including linear and digital reporting, Board report submissions, forecasting, brand tracking, Marketing and competitor intelligence
    • To manage reporting of VOD and non-linear viewing to Kids content
    • To provide internal and external stakeholders with creative, actionable insights to help inform decision making
    • Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly analysis of the Kids portfolio to all key departments
    • Support Finance with Forecasting and ad hoc requests
    • Provide strategic insights to the wider Viacom business
    • To work closely with all Insight Brands in the UK – Youth & Entertainment Brands and Channel 5 portfolio – and support Corporate Insight as required
    • To support the UKNEE Cluster and be Viewer Insight lead as required for VIMN brands


    Experience & Knowledge:


    • Solid proven experience in Viewer Insight and Research analysis, ideally in a Media company / Broadcaster, at a senior level.
    • Experience in commissioning and managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects
    • Proven knowledge of BARB & Techedge, media analysis tools and techniques
    • Experience of VOD/non-linear insight reporting
    • Experience of online measurement
    • Experience of survey design
    • Ability to produce high quality written materials and deliver strong written and verbal presentations
    • Be innovative, dynamic, flexible and collaborative with interpersonal and influencing skills and a high degree of integrity
    • Experience of managing team members
    • Experience of operating in a fast-moving and dynamic environment

    • An adept communicator who can provide expert advice based on rigours interpretation of data and insights
    • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to deal with all levels of the company

    • A genuine interest in understanding viewers and their relationships with TV brands on all platforms
